This work is a katana that demonstrates to the fullest extent the character of Teruhira, who excels at soshuden. The ko-itame hada is well covered with jinie, allowing the viewer to enjoy looking at the fine chikei. The hamon of notare midare has a unique nie thickly attached to the nioikuni, and in the ha you can see active hataraki such as kinsuji and yubashiri. This katana comes with an official certificate from the All Japan Swordsmith Association.

Kamiyama Teruhira's Profile

Born in 1981, Teruhira is from Hokkaido, and became an apprentice of Miyairi Kozaemon Yukihira in 2006 when he was 25 years old. Since his debut he has demonstrated his talent and won numerous awards; in 2016 he became an independent swordsmith and moved to Okayama Prefecture. Since then, he has received numerous top awards, including the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, and is one of the most promising young swordsmiths of the future, having twice won the highest awards in both the Tachi/Katana and Wakizashi/Tanto categories.
